Events & Visits
Visiting the School
We are always keen for Old Ronians to drop in to see us. If you happen to be in the area and would like to come in then please feel free. Ideally, let us know in advance, but this is not essential!
Old Ronian Events
We are in the process of putting together a regular pattern of events for Old Ronians. These are an opportunity to reconnect and to reminisce with contemporaries, and to see how the school has developed (and how it has stayed the same!) over the years.
The current programme is as follows:
Autumn Term
Biennual drinks party held in London (offers of venues gratefully received!). The most recent was held in Brooks's Club in February 2009.
Spring Term
Open invitation to come to Saint Ronan's to watch the Brodie Shield, enjoy a buffet lunch and take a tour of the school. The invitation is open to all ORs, but each event will have a focus of a particular decade.
Summer Term
Founder's Day is one of the most important events in the school calendar. It is a chance for the children to showcase their talents in Music, Drama and Sport ('Sports Day' takes place in the afternoon). ORs are encouraged to attend and will receive invitations in The Ronian magazine at the end of the Spring term.
Founder's Day 2010
This year's Founder's Day will see the opening of the new sports hall, the 'Founder's Hall'. It will be held on Saturday, 26th June 2010. Invitations will be sent out shortly.
Sue's Retirement
We will be holding a drinks party at 6.00pm on Thursday, 8th July to mark the retirement of Sue Morgan-Kirby, after 38 years of service to the school. Please contact the Alumni secretary if you would like to attend.
Hog Roast in aid of the James Naylor Memorial Fund
A fund raising event and celebration in memory of James, who attended the school from 1990 to 1998. The Hog Roast will take place from 4pm on Saturday, 7th August and will be held at the school.
For tickets (£30 per person), please make cheques payable to The James Naylor Memorial Fund and send, with your name and address, to JNMF, TMS, 94 Commercial Road, Paddock Wood, Kent TN12 6DP.
Visit the James Naylor Memorial Fund's website for further information.
