The Pre-Prep
The Pre-Prep is housed on the ground floor of the Harris Building which opened in 2007 and was purpose built for educating young children.
Children continue to develop their communication, literacy and numeracy skills as they progress through the Primary Framework. The teaching of science, ICT, history, geography, religious education and French are all guided by the national curriculum and are, on the whole, taught by the classroom teacher supported by a teacher’s assistant. Physical education and music are taught by specialist teachers. Lessons are tailored to suit individual needs and small classes allow children to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. The extensive grounds are used to inspire children and widen their knowledge as well as provide a wonderful space for a multitude of outdoor pursuits.
After school clubs
There is an excellent programme of After School Clubs run every evening allowing children to experience a longer school day and the opportunity to learn new skills.
Activities are organised to be age appropriate and fun.
Trips and Visitors
Regular outings are organised to compliment and bring to life the work undertaken in the classroom. Each term visitors are invited into school to entertain, enrich and support the curriculum and make learning fun and relevant.
