Art
The Art Department aims to provide children with an understanding of a variety of painting and drawing techniques and the creation of three-dimensional forms.
They learn about artists from different periods and the creative approaches and techniques used in their work. After an introduction to each artist, the children are encouraged to experiment with these techniques so that they learn both how to use a range of artist's materials and to express their own ideas through them. We want their experience to be stimulating, enjoyable and challenging.
Art Scholarships
We have experience of successfully preparing children at the Scholarship level. In 2009 candidates from Saint Ronan’s have been awarded three Art Scholarships to King’s Canterbury, Sutton Valence and St Leonard’s Mayfield. An Art Exhibition was also awarded by Eastbourne College.
