Life before Saint Ronan's
Having very happy memories of my education at Marlborough house and then Benenden, it was wonderful that I have been lucky enough to work at the very special St Ronans. Previously I worked at two primary schools in London: Cathedral School and Borough and Garden Primary, Mitcham. Both very different to Saint Ronan's but also challenging and rewarding. My first Honours degree was a Masters in Art History at St Andrew's, where I achieved a 2:1. I subsequently returned to Kent and did my PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church.
Roles at School
Apart from my more formal roles of co-ordinating Geography and PE in the Nursery and Pre-Prep, at Saint Ronan's most of my time is spent teaching the Owls in Year 1. My days are packed with guiding creative, energetic and enthusiastic 5 and 6 year olds, who are inspiring and delightful in so many ways. At Saint Ronan's there is a uniqueness that is a privilege to be a part of and I try to capture that certain something and build on it.
Away from the Classroom
In the holidays I spend most of the time being a mummy to my two boys, Matthew and Freddie. In addition, I have lots of hobbies which I enjoy doing when I get a moment. I love all forms of Art, especially painting and textiles, and often dream of writing and illustrating a children's picture book. Also I enjoy sport, in particular, tennis, sailing and skiing and would love to do more!
