Life before Saint Ronan's
My love of languages began at Woodford County High School when I was inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of my Latin, French and Italian teachers. I went on to read French and Classics at New College, Oxford, and was fortunate enough to spend a year of my degree teaching English in a Lycée in Provence. Having completed a year at Hughes Hall, Cambridge where I gained my PGCE, I began my career at Gravesend Grammar School teaching boys from 11-18. From there I taught at the Judd School and TOGS (specialising in GCSE, A Level and The International Baccalaureate) for a total of 12 years before joining the fantastic staff at Saint Ronan’s.
Roles at School
I am Head of Classics and also teach French from Shell (Year 5) through to Remove (Year 8). I am also a Class 4 form tutor and House Mistress of Bicton. I have led the Classics trip to the Bay of Naples twice and am looking forward to another Saint Ronan's ski trip to Italy next year.
Away from the Classroom
I am married to Bob and we have two boys Harry and Charlie. We love all things Italian and usually manage to visit Italy at least once a year. I enjoy Pilates, love reading crime novels and am a huge fan of Nordic Noir.
