Life before Saint Ronan's
I have wanted to work with young children since my early teens. I trained as a Nursery Nurse (NNEB) at seventeen and worked in a Nursery, and then in a Reception Class, before deciding to do a BA in Education degree, as a mature student, at The University of London. I qualified and worked in London for ten years, teaching Years 1, 2 and Reception. I became a Leading Foundation Stage Teacher for the London Borough of Lewisham and began working as an advisory teacher with other schools and Nurseries.
Roles at School
I have been teaching The Rabbits Class at Saint Ronan’s since September 2010. Prior to that, I taught in London for ten years.
Away from the Classroom
I have a 12 year old son, a husband and a Working Cocker Spaniel. I especially enjoy visiting the south coast of Cornwall to sit on the beach and read, whilst my son surfs and our dog runs and swims.
