Life before Saint Ronan's
I have wanted to work with young children since my early teens. I trained as a Nursery Nurse (NNEB) at seventeen and worked in a Nursery, and then in a Reception Class, before deciding to do a BA in Education degree, as a mature student, at The University of London. I qualified and worked in London for ten years, teaching Years 1, 2 and Reception. I became a Leading Foundation Stage Teacher for the London Borough of Lewisham and began working as an advisory teacher with other schools and Nurseries.
Roles at School
I joined Saint Ronan’s in September 2010, along with my son, to teach, full time, the Rabbit’s Reception Class and support the Nursery and Pre Prep staff in ICT.
Away from the Classroom
Outside school I have a twelve year old son, a Parson Jack Russell, a Cocker Spaniel and a husband! So lots of walks and Lego building currently fill most of my free time.
