William Trelawny-Vernon

William Trelawny-Vernon

William Trelawny-Vernon (Mr TV) was appointed Headmaster of Saint Ronan’s in January 2003 and frequently tells us that he has the best job in the world!

He was educated at the Dragon, St Edward’s, Oxford and Exeter University and is married to Emma, who he met at university. They have four children, all of whom have been through a Saint Ronan’s education.

After a brief spell as a fund manager in the City, the teaching ‘bug’ took hold and, in true family tradition (his father was a Prep School Headmaster), he found that education was where his heart lay.

He joined Stowe School, Buckinghamshire, in 1991 and taught Science there for twelve years. In 1995 he was appointed Housemaster of Chatham House, a boarding house for 13-18 year olds. He was in post for seven happy years.

A move to a Prep School was always hoped for and William now enters his 15th year at Saint Ronan’s, where the School has grown from 160 pupils to over 400.
